Flair Care Supported Living
We provide individual  support services for people with very complex needs and hard to place or support due to the challenging needs or risks. Most of our residents come to us straight from a stay on a psychiatric /forensic ward or from failed tenancies. We support adults with enduring mental health issues and challenging behaviours, who are generally difficult to place or engaged. We focus on a plan which gives residents the tools they need to work towards better independence. Crucial to this is the element of choice; residents choose how they spend each day, have a say in planning menus and spend time out in the community. Our goal is to encourage people to become more independent, and work towards a point where they can live fulfilling lives in the community.
We support them by working with professional agencies to manage risks and allow them opportunity to live independently in the community.

Our Mission and Values
To improve the wellbeing of people suffering from mental health problems, and other support needs.
To promote independence, rights and choice of individuals to enable them, to live independently in the community, reduce readmission to hospitals and institutional care.
To enable those with particular needs to live ordinary lives within the community by ‘Providing quality services that meet individual’s needs, goals and aspirations to promote social inclusion and empower service users to take control of their own lives.’

Are moving from secure or restricted services or hospitals ·
Have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act ·
Have forensic backgrounds ·
Have a community treatment order (CTO) in place ·
Are on probation order
Are on Ministry of Justice order and working with Mentally Disordered Offenders service

Our TEAM INCLUDES an experienced mental health practitioner, specialising in forensic mental health and knows what to must be included in a resettlement plan. As part of the referral process, we would expect a detailed risks assessment, which clearly outlines the risk presented by the service user, as well as those that the service user may be subjected to whilst living in the community. We know that some service users attract extensive media attention and community rejection, which in some cases are triggers that may cause the service user to reoffend. We will therefore, ensure that all information concerning triggers, signs of relapse to look for and how to manage the presenting risks for each service user.

. To deliver the service that is flexible and specific to each person we: ·
Involve service users throughout, ensure that they understand the process and follow up ·
Be aware of power dynamics in terms of how service users view their role and to always seek to empower ·
Respect the person, their home and their beliefs ·
Regard individual circumstance, age, gender, religion, culture, sexuality and other differences ·
Involve others should the service user wish (including advocacy services, relatives) ·
Remain non judgmental
